Clint Laird, LCSW, RPT

CO-FOUNDER, CLINICAL DIRECTOR & LEAD THERAPIST — AVID ICED COFFEE DRINKER

Along with anchoring himself as a relational therapist, Clint takes a narrative and psychodynamic approach to his work with individuals, couples, and families. He meets clients wherever they are and journeys with them to where they want to go. Clint believes to understand oneself more deeply, we first have to understand our own tale from the beginning.

In the room, Clint starts slowly and listens deeply to uncover all the stories of your life.  Because he believes that everyone is constantly and unconsciously working to undo hurt from childhood and/or past relationships, he incorporates discussions about growing up in your family of origin to help broaden the landscape and enrich the experience.  Clint works mindfully with clients to identify their areas of hurt and then collaboratively as those hurtful narratives are reconstructed over time.  He understands that letting others into the dark corners of your life, where hurt hides, can be both scary and painful.  And, it is in those moments where healing happens.  Engaging in therapy is a process and Clint is not interested in "fixing" anyone as he does not innately view anyone as broken.  Instead, he hopes to play a role in helping people be in a deeper relationship with themselves where they can learn to both accept imperfections and work towards a more inspired state of being.  Clint sees his role, in your journey, as to stand beside you, in the darker places and help you turn on a light.

Clint has been in the field for 16 years and has spent that time working clinically with individuals, families, and couples who experience deep and intense pain. Whether it is a specific traumatic experience, persistent feelings you cannot shake, or a deep problem in your relationship/family; there is hope.

A Note From Clint:

There is hope even when your brain tells you otherwise.  Nothing has a neutral effect and everything we do, and don't do, is an important puzzle piece in the way we understand our world.  My pledge to those who I work with is to give you the very best of myself as we explore, deconstruct and rebuild this understanding and forge a path forward that feels whole and "right".  All I ask is your willingness to journey with me.
